Carlos Gonzales
Live Doppler 10 Meteorologist
Gonzales came to 10TV from Lubbock, Texas, where he was the chief meteorologist at KLBK-TV and winner of the Associated Press award for Best Weathercast.
Prior to that, he was the morning meteorologist for Lubbock's KAMC-TV, and began his television career as the morning meteorologist for WETM-TV in Elmira, NY.
Gonzales studied broadcast communications and meteorology at Metro State College of Denver, but his experience goes far beyond the classroom. He was originally trained as a meteorologist in the Air Force.
As a combat meteorologist, Gonzales has forecasted and observed the weather worldwide, in locations including Germany, Korea, the United Arab Emirates, and most recently Iraq. He continues his service today as a reservist in the Air National Guard.
A New Mexico native and avid outdoor enthusiast, Gonzales enjoys hiking, camping, snowboarding, cycling, running, rock climbing and vintage motorcycles.
